E-mails not treated as junk(spam)

I'm sending automated e-mails to the users of my site(about registration, profile changes and expiration, etc), but they are treated as junk mail(spam) by some e-mail service providers like Hotmail and Gmail.

Are there some rules about writing 'not treated as spam' e-mails?
